(Are you ready for this?)

Yeah

Wake up
You son of a bitch
I wanna know who your with and
Why do you roll in and out
At like six in the morning

I say
Wake up
My love of mine
Why do you spend your time
With these guys who don't love you
The way that I do

This time things gonna be changin'
Start a new
Rearranging
I got a new
Girl I'm seein'
Just like the last one, jus' like the first one

Live for today
Not tomorrow
Keep movin' away from sorrow
Ain't one to beg or borrow

So listen to me

Wake up
You son of a bitch
I wanna know who your with and
Why do you roll in and out
At like six in the morning

Phone call
No mistakin'
She starts
Her head shakin'
Eyes open
Now I'm awake and
I'm gonna take it day by day now

Gettin' high
Good times rollin'
On the side
Cities showin'
Off somewhere new
To be goin'

So keep movin'

Wake up
You son of a bitch
I wanna know who your with and
Why do you roll in and out
At like six in the morning

Wake up
You son of a bitch
I wanna know who your with and
Why do you roll in and out
At like six in the morning

he is obviously not over the "son of a bitch" that he broke up with. saying wake up he means pay attention or clear your head no one love you more than me.
he's with another girl...just like the "last one" and just like the "first one" means she's just the same as all the rest nothing special. he' trying to move on..."live for today" "away from sorrow" he's too full of pride to "beg or borrow" so he'll keep moving forward despite the fact that he still loves her.

seeing the video made this song clearer to me. the singer had an attitude and seemed angry about this situation.

Nice, the second song off of Tim's free internet album (myspace/rancid). Not as good as Hold On, but damn good. Apparently the album will be very regaae. In the same fashion as Life Won't Wait, but more simplistic.

this is obviously a song sung towards a woman he's asking the man why are you rolling in and out at 6 in the morning but then he cuts out to

"I say Wake up My love of mine Why do u spend your time With these guys who don't love you The way that I do"

kinna like saying whydo youf all for these assholes that prolly cheat on you?

    My take!

It's a song about somebody living with their ex-lover before they move apart. That's why he refers to her both as a "son of a bitch" and "my love of mine."

She comes and goes as she pleases, likely seeing new guys. This hurts him, because he still has feelings for her.

He isn't ready to move on, but he tries by dating a new girl. The problem is that his new girlfriend is just like his last one. And just like his first one. And all the ones in between. In other words, he is attracted to the wrong type of woman. He's trying to move on, but doing so in the wrong manner. He's trying to "keep moving away from sorrow," yet by dating the same type of woman he won't. He'll end up in the same situation that he is in now.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
