Eat, Sleep, Repeat Lyrics
It occurred to me at once that love could be a great illusion
That makes fools of brilliant thinkers everyday
And sends hearts of stone and steel to a place where they would feel like they were falling falling quickly in its wake
Oh, falling falling quickly in its wake
Is it any surprise that you feel so over-run?
When all this time you had no one to tell you how to love
And do you think it's unwise to go and break yourself on this one?
When all this time you didn’t know love, you didn’t know love, you didn’t know love
You didn’t know love
It occurred to me at once that love gets everything it asks for
Like a young girl picking flowers in the lawn
She gets every kiss and tear
She gets every smile and fear
But still she never finds the last of them is gone
Oh, she never finds the last of them is gone
[Is it any surprise that you feel so over-run?
When all this time you had no one to tell you how to love
And do you think it's unwise to go and break yourself on this one?
When all this time you didn’t know love, didn’t know love, didn’t know love
You didn’t know love] (3x)

"And do you think IT'S UNWISE to go and break yourself on this one..."
Ah yes, thanks mrtsc. That makes wayyy more sense.
this song
,,but still she never finds the last of them is gone..
i love their lyrics with their second layer..
this my favorite
definitely an amazing song! i can't seem to figure out what it's about though... someone trying too hard to love, so they feel over-run? i have no idea, hah.
i think the song is about someone who has never known love before but all the sudden they find someone and they're just so overwhelmed by it
I think the whole song might be a message to someone who is heartbroken. The two verses describe what love is or explaining what it is, maybe in a more negative light: The first verse talks about its power to hurt even the strongest and smartest people. The second verse talks about how people who are loved get everything they want by those who love them, but they take it for granted.
Then the chorus is actually directly "comforting" the heartbroken person, telling them that they shouldn't feel like a failure since they didn't know what they were doing. "Do you think it's unwise to go and break yourself on this one?" may be telling the person not to blame themselves.
Since the person didn't know what love is and didn't know what he/she was doing, the verse explain to them what love is.
I agree jeffyzai. :]
