I'm pretty sure it's about a dad doing drugs, the mom always coming back to him, but finally she doesn't.. and their daughter is hsving to go through all this bullshit. It's kinda weird, because this is exactly how it is for my best friend.. there's not a line in this damn song that is different from her every day life.

Those lines are the best.. because it's fucking true. My best friend's dad has been in so many rehabs.. and he won't stop. He's always trying to be cool with her, and she can't even look at him anymore. It's sad, but it's reality.

I think it's about a father who beat his daughter
i think that the father just had a one night stand with the mom and she got pregnant. so he had to stay with her. and then he jsut starts to leave and do the same with other women he just breaks it off by telling her that he doesnt love her

Did you have a specific person or story in mind while writing “Angel in Disguise”? Rob: A father from a church that Noah and I were going to was abusing both the kids and the mom. We found out about it and brought it to the surface. I just thought about that story and how she [the mom] was an angel for the kids and really saved them from any more pain and emotional torture. The first verse was inspired by that, and then I took that and made it into my own story.
WHen I started listening to the song iwas and still am pretty sure its about a daughter who is sexually abused by her father, tells the mother, the mom confronts the dad, and then the father is sorry and asks the girl for forgiveness.

I think the song is about a father who is always drinking, and he repeatdly beats his wife, until she leaves and the daughter has to takeover her pain. Finally, he goes to rehab and his wife comes home. He tries to apologize for his actions, but she doesn't forgive him. This is exactly what my friend went through. She now lives with her mom. Its tough, but both she and I both now she'll pull through.
