Just one note...are some of the lyrics correct? When I was listening to the song and reading the lyrics-they didn't seem to coincide...but I'm not sure.
Anyways. It's basically about a girl who used to be together with a boy. But, they eventually broke up. However, she soon realizes that it was a horrible mistake, and that they were "meant to be". So, she's singing about how she wants him to come back to her.

The lyrics to this song are horribly cliched.
The only good thing I could say is that Vanessa's a better singer than I thought. On HSM, her singing voice was really high-pitched, which made it somewhat unpleasant to listen to at times.
I like this song. I think the only reason most don't like this song and her singing is because of the Disney kid image of hers. Everyone who has ever worked for some Disney show or original movie has had a hard time getting rid of that Disney boy or Disney girl label. Stop thinking of where they came from and if you still don't like it, don't listen to it! I hope people won't do that for Corbin Bleu's album that he's suppose to have, unless it actually sucks. I bet if most of you read the lyrics, without knowing who it was by, would actually like it.
