Hair Baby Lyrics

Hair baby gets down when she's all grown up
She's acting like her mama won't let her out
I'm asking you to help me find a way
Seems hard but it's impossible for hair baby

I've seen the devil and it looks like that
It's in the house - get on your phone
You've got the trouble where you find it at
You was thinking you was all alone
Get it up before you burst your buttons now

Hair baby don't lounge when she's all turned out
She's mending like her sisters gonna fly her out
I'm asking you to help me find her way
Big money but she's featuring good hair baby

I've seen the devil and it looks like that
It's in the house - get on your phone
You've got the trouble where you find it at
You was thinking you was all alone
Get it up before you burst your buttons now

Whip it, furl it, shape it, whurl it, lift it, curl it
Let it all fall out
Bleach it, blow it, snatch it, grow it, dye it, fly it
Lay it to the side

I've seen the devil and it looks like that
It's in the house - get on your phone
You've got the trouble where you find it at
You was thinking you was all alone
Get it up before you burst your buttons now

Oh wow, I have no idea what this song is talking about. Well I'm pretty sure the second last bit here about furl and shaping is about HAIR. Right. Everything else here is a mystery, care to decipher, anyone?

Well anyways. I think this song is incredibly catchy. Loving the absolutely funky intro. I don't understand why this was put on the second CD of Ta-Dah! instead of the first? It's so awesome.

Does anyone else think this song is about being haunted?? The phrase hair baby makes me think of the ghosts in japanese movies with hair all over their face. Also the entire chorus - "I've seen the devil and it looks like that" - "you was thinking you were all alone" - etc etc.
