This song is about a guy who is so into a girl who isn't exactly into him, just wants to be friends, or may not be ready to be serious. He definitely is an insecure guy. He then does some things that tries to convince her to want him now. They don't seem to work so he basically makes himself believe that he doesn't need her in his life. He brings her down with this negativity and this be so pressed for them to have a relationship. However she views him as a perfect guy for a relationship but maybe not for her or right now. There is something she is doing that makes him think to keep trying and then switch up and not want to even associate with her anymore. Then, when he decides not to deal with her anymore, he figures out that he can't let her go that easily and needs to try again.

She gets annoyed with his on and off again type of relationship and finally decides not to even deal with him anymore even on a friendship level.

i used to take my boyfriend for granted and pick fights with him, until the day he told me he wanted to break up with me, then my world just fell apart and i wanted nothing else but to be back with him, and i wanted to change. "suddenly theres nothing i need more". but i knew i couldnt get back with him, cos i basically fucked up. i also liked this song bcos its kindof upbeat, so it didnt make me feel depressed and stuff, just made me think instead of wallowing in self pity, i should just move on.
