Im so Glad Lyrics
And I'm so glad, and I am glad, I am glad, I'm glad
I don't know what to do, don't know what to do, I don't know what to do1
I'm tired of weepin', tired of moanin', tired of groanin' for you
And I'm so glad, I am glad, I am glad, I'm glad
I'm tired of weepin', tired of moanin', tired of groanin' for you
And I'm so glad, and I am glad, I am glad, I'm glad
I'm so tired of moanin', tired of groanin', tired of longin' for you
I'm so glad, and I am glad, I am glad, I'm glad
I don't know what to do, know what to do, I don't know what to do
I'm so tired, and I am tired, I am tired...
And I'm so glad, I am glad, I am glad, I'm glad
I don't know what to do, know what to do, I don't know what to do
I'm tired of weepin', tired of moanin', tired of groanin' for you
And I'm so glad, and I am glad, I am glad, I'm glad
I'm so tired, and I am tired, I am tired, I'm tired
I'm tired of weepin', tired of moanin', tired of groanin' for you
I'm so glad, and I am glad, I am glad, I'm glad

One of the legends of Delta Blues, its hard to believe people still think Eric Clapton wrote this song ! Skip James was a master guitarist and this some of his best playing. Written in 1930's a time of economic depression and hardship for blacks in the Southern USA, he keeps chanting the refrain I'm So Glad seems ironic, his life was anything but easy. The only way to cope with having the blues is to play, sing and blow the blues away. A classic of this style.
It seems to me that he has a split personality. On one hand he's glad, glad, glad and glad, and on the other, he's tired, tired, tired, tired. Although I suppose he could easily be all of that at once without having a split personality, it's much more interesting to think he has a split personality.
@epiwoosh He has got the Blues

@HarryIrene I was just being silly, but to be honest I don't think it's so simple as he's just got the blues. He definitely once had the blues, but he got tired of having the blues, so he stopped and feels better. But now he seems confused as to how he really feels.
