Wake up to the buzzards
Contemplating
Taking bets on when I’ll finally pass
Tattered signs point in all directions
No courtesy
Of food or beverage
Recollection of a chapel
A bar of whiskey
Kindred spirits filled the room
Should’ve known by the way she kissed me
I was dealt a real smooth hand tonight

You were right about
Always wanting more
There’s nothing you can do now
You’re snake eyes

You were right about
Always wanting more
There’s nothing you can do now
You’re snake eyes

I feel my eyes flicker open
This suitcase crushing
As it’s pressed against my legs
The taste of duct tape fills my palate
My hands are sore
And bound by laces

Good night to the city lights
You’re always bound to lose this time
I thought I had you on the upper hand
I should have known you had something up your sleeve again

You were right about
Always wanting more
There’s nothing you can do now
You’re snake eyes

You were right about
Always wanting more
There’s nothing you can do now
You’re snake eyes

All that’s on your mind
Because your chariot awaits
And let’s keep in mind
We’ve got all the time in the world to get this right
So slip your black dress off tonight
The ammunition is so heartfelt
Kiss me one more time
Kiss yourself goodbye

Hey girl, can you feel me?
As I lose myself in you
Hey girl, can you feel me?
As I lose myself in you

Good night to the city lights
You’re always bound to lose
I thought I had you on the upper hand
Something’s up your sleeve again

Good night to the city lights
You’re always bound to lose
I thought I had you on the upper hand
Something’s up your sleeve again

"it's a story about a man who goes to vegas, and has an insane night.his luck runs out.he was greedy, and payed for it in the end.he won a large sum of money and attracted attention at his table.he meet a con artist ex hooker.he takes his winnings and parties hard for a week straight.a week of sex, theft and living every day like it was your last.durring his drug enduced stuper,he marries the girl in a chappel by elvis, and when he wakes the next day.he is in the trunk of his rental car.bound, and gagged.hence the taste of duct tape. the girls partner, drugged him,and stole his winning.he was left in the dessert on an old dessert road.the buzzard were waiting for him to die...circling.the song starts from the end to the beginig.i wrote it like he was having flashes of his insane week, and how he ended up like he did...with nothing.the song is about having everything, and losing it in a matter of seconds.it's a fucked up modern day version of Jobe...."

Ministry
Both as a standalone and as part of the DSOTS album, you can take this lyric as read. As a matter of public record, Jourgensen's drug intake was legendary even in the 1980s. By the late 90s, in his own words, he was grappling with massive addiction issues and had lost almost everything: friends, spouse, money and had nearly died more than once. "Dark Side of the Spoon" is a both funny & sad title for an album made by a musical genius who was losing the plot; and this song is a message to his fans & friends saying he knows it. It's painful to listen to so I'm glad the "Keith Richards of industrial metals" wised up and cleaned up. Well done sir.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
