Return To Sender Lyrics

Return to sender, return to sender…
I gave a letter to the postman;
He put it in his sack,
Bright and early next morning,
He brought my letter back.
She wrote upon it,
Return to sender, address unknown,
No such number, no such zone,
We had a quarrel, a lover’s spat,
I write I’m sorry,
But my letter keeps coming back.
So when I dropped it in my mailbox,
And sent it special D,
Bright and early next morning,
It came right back to me.
This time I’m gonna take it myself,
And put it right in her hand,
And if it comes back the very next day,
Then I’ll understand,
The writing on it, return to sender…

Cover art for Return To Sender lyrics by Elvis Presley

He is trying to show interest or mayby put things right with a girl he likes romantically, so he write her a letter. She keeps refusing to read it, just returns it to sender, and so he keeps on sending it. Even when he deliver it personally, she just gives him a cold shoulder, and returns it wo a second glance. It's obviously out of the question for her, she's just not interested. Though luck for the King

These lyrics are ridiculous.

If he gave a letter to the postman one day, there's no way he would have got it back bright and early the next morning.

Liar.

@Lonely Wooden Tower You must be fun at a party.
