I think it's about being in a relationship in the previous Summer, or just previously, and When they broke up it really hurt him, but now he is in a new relationship this summer cause hence: "here comes the promise of summer" and "I see the future in your eyes" and "I really needed this" Really reminds me of what I'm experiencing! :]

This is an awsome song and this is an awsome band, and F**CK Yeah! first comment! Travis, Mark, Craig and Shane all kick ass and are the best band out there now in my opinion:)

The guitar in this song sounds rad... kinda reminds me of a blink song with its energy

Brilliant, this is the most "Blinkish" song on the album in my opinion. It's awesome, I just wish it came out during the summer... definite summer song.

Good song, IMO one of the weaker ones on the album, but the band seems to like it a lot. Mark said it's about how he and his friends would jump from a friend's roof into the pool and call it cliff diving. To me, it's just about jumping into something new in order to just clear your head and get through whatever has happened to you (the blink breakup).
