Fast And Beautiful Lyrics

when i use some make up
and i dress up nothing compares to me

and i try so different ways
finding out the best for me

and it's really hard to catch
a shade of pure perfection
and you can't imagine how much time
i spend to look this way

i feel pretty i know
when i go downtown baby
hangin around
i feel pretty i know
call me a fashion dandy
but i don't care
i feel pretty i know

when i use some make up
and i dress up nothing compares to me

and i can't find somebody else
looking pretty cool as me

and then everybody start
to buzz about actions
but they don't realize to waste their time
cause i don't fucking care

i feel pretty i know
when i go downtown baby
hangin around
i feel pretty i know
call me a fashion dandy
but i don't care
i feel pretty i know

I love this song and this band so much. I just recently discovered them and their amazing!

I think this song is about how he is fashionable and likes the way he looks and no matter what people say he knows he looks good and he feels good. When he's dressed up he feels like no one else compares to him and doesn't let them in any closer than is necissary. Like using fashion as a shield for his inner self.

Great song.

Good song, very good. :)

However, I have a feeling the song is purposely pretentious. If the artist were speaking their inner feelings, it would come off a little differently. How many people (especially the "goth" subculture) actually ADMIT to getting dressed up like that for the attention/the way they feel they look. It's more of a call to those who actually feel that way, whilst coming off as it's actually coming from the artist.
