Count Yourself In Lyrics
Beyond the common cry;
From 9 to 5 the dead end jobs we try,
We try to hide.
We struggle through the means;
To meet the end.
Please tell me that this life isn't permanent.
We don't care enough. (We don't care enough)
Look who's pulled it off.
Look what get's me off;
Gets me through the insober days.
You don't deserve to be unnoticed.
You don't deserve to be treated like that.
(We don't deserve to be unnoticed)
Days and weeks go by,
And seasons change.
The scenery gets old;
It stays the same.
Theres nothing in this town;
But you and I.
So baby pack your bags we leave tonight.
Cause we don't care enough. (We don't care enough)
Look who's pulled it off.
Look what get's me off;
Gets me through the insober days.
You don't deserve to be unnoticed.
You don't deserve to be treated like that.
We don't deserve to be unnoticed.
So where'd it go?
You don't deserve to be unnoticed.
You don't deserve to be treated like that.
We don't deserve to be unnoticed.
So where'd it go?
So spend our nights awake;
Rest every small town along the way.
Heres to bad times;
They were the best times.
Give up the good times,
And we'll survive.
Cause we don't care enough. (We don't care enough)
Look who's pulled it off.
Look what get's me off;
Gets me through the insober days.
You don't deserve to be unnoticed.
You don't deserve to be treated like that.
We don't deserve to be unnoticed.
So where'd it go?

I love this song. The chorus is so powerful! I think it's about leaving the boring life and jobs behind and doing someting you really want to do. Oh, and instead of "Look who's pulled it off" should be "So don't hold it off".
This song was written for and is a tribute to the band Drakes(Advantage). If you listen to the lyrics "Heres to bad times, they were the best times, give up the good times" in Count Yourself In and then listen to the lyrics in the breakdown of Jado by Drakes(Advantage) (it occurs around 3:40 listen to it here www.myspace.com/drakes) you will notice that they are almost the exact same. I asked TSE about the similarities in the lyrics and here was the response I got back.
"Yup, the song is actually about the dudes from Drakes. They are our best friends so we wrote the song as a tribute to them, though most people think its a love song about a girl. FOOLED THEM, haha"
Cheers. Andrew
So there you have it from the singer himself.
I love this song. It's rad--like a raddish. =) And-- for anyone who says it's "emo" music. I'm not emo and i LOVE it. so... ha. I think music is for people to enjoy, rather then to criticize. (or whatever it is you people do.)
for the comment above me, who ever said this song was "emo" is stupid, its more pop/rock then anything... and as tdh20 it has nothing to do with a girl, which apperntly makes a song "emo" now a days. besdies that this song is really good.. and i was going to say that its about a band that there friends with, but tdh20 said it first and happends to know the exact band lol
I love this song... not so much the video.
Good job hobbes67 figuring out the lyrics, I always find that the lead singer doesn't enunciate well enough.
This is not emo. Emo means emotional. This song isn't emotional. Geez can't anybody get that right?
lol in the video he sings to the old man...
This video is awesome haha. Good for laughs, I tell yeah.
I think that the job theory works....
