Mouth Lyrics

Sluts in skirts are scattered all over this scrabble board
And it's no wonder very few words worth using are being played
This unintelligible squawking is drowning out anything worth listening to
We're dumbing down everything
Dumbing down everything

And using huge hand gestures trying to get a point across
To the deaf and blind
To the deaf and blind

(Chubby disgusting infants in a giant damp crib teething and in dire need of a mothers rum soaked digit)
Anything to numb
Anything to encourage ignorance
Anything to numb
Anything to put us to sleep
Anything to numb
Anything to encourage ignorance
Anything to numb
Anything…

Someone anyone take off your shirt and pacify
(Make it easy for us to eat easy for us to sleep)
I think we deserve it REPHRASED!

Someone anyone take us out back and put us down!
I think we deserve it
I think we deserve it

Because it’s not far from pleasure island where this pink flesh gets its fur
Its there that the noise you speak can finally be heard
It will make sense to the rest of your four legged stench ridden gluttonous kin
You can feel comfortable in your skin
You will feel comfortable in your skin

Were trying to speak clearly
but our voices get drowned out
by the over excessive braying
and the always open mouth…

lol, I think he meant the song is about MTV.

"All this unintelligible squawking is drowning out anything worth listening to So were dumbing down everything So were dumbing down everything"

Says it all really, I agree with him if he did mean that. Awesome song, maybe my favourite off T.A.O.M.

I think that this song is about the degridation of culture. People talk all the time, but are they really saying anything worth listening to? So while people keep droning on about nonsense, the singer is trying to get his message across, but they get drown out by the "over excessive braying and the always open mouth."

I get the sense listening to this album that this is the most socially conscious album by Fear Before, and I love it.

Society, media is a disease that affects us all.

The need to get rid of this all?

"Anything to numb Anything to encourage ignorance Anything to numb Anything to put us to sleep Anything to numb Anything to encourage ignorance Anything to numb Anything…"

And the lyric "Because it’s not far from pleasure island where this pink flesh gets its fur "

Obviously has to do something with female anatomy, actually females are mentioned quite abit in this song.

InvalidPacket is 100% correct:

"Because it’s not far from pleasure island where this pink flesh gets its fur" is a reference to Pinocchio where the kids become donkeys."

In the lyrics sheet for The Always Open Mouth, every other page has certain letters bolded within the lyrics. Mouth's liner notes spell out, "WAATCH PINNOCHIO"
