Vice City Rolling Lyrics
Me and Jenny took a break for a reason, she called the ex up, I called treason
Now I'm in the make it mart, sniffing and weezing, with time to kill, and a big hole to fill
I don't want religion, keep the faith healing, I don't need a guru to teach me good feeling
I just need an overdose of speed and I steal it, then I head back home, disconnect the phone
Cause baby if you don't have none Then maybe you should come get some
You'll never have to be so glum, again, good times ring my friend, all night long
Bashing and crashing, step on the gas
Through the gears mashing, your face to the screen like a moth to the light
Get your Vice City Rollin', take some control of your life
Six months, locked in the lounge room
Game on and I'm feelin alright
Blinds on the windows, to keep out the light
Soon enough, day turns to night
Well if we are the world, then the world's in trouble
So I'm up late practising how to make rubble
Blinking my eyes and scratching my stubble
Well come armageddon, the skills will be double
So if you don't have none
Then maybe you should come get some
And maybe get a blister on your finger or your thumb
All the next day you'll be jumping in shadows
Bleeding from the eyes, mentally shattered
Hunched down on the couch with an overbite
Get your vice city rollin', pimpin' your mind for a fight
Ooh, takin control of the night
Oh can you hear the sirens come?
Just another smoking gun
All the flashy stars on screen, baby that's my scene
When you're busting your lungs
Stare at a school bus
On aboard, next stop: San Andreas
Lay a waste to the city, cause it feels alright
Get your vice city rollin', keeping your eyes on the light
It's alright, it's alright, it's alright...

i think this is about using entertainment (video games) as a distraction from real problems
or maybe using video games to release frustration at the world...
well yeah, but drugs too. speed and vice city to get over a break up.. yeah.. strange
well, a breakup and to cope drugs and grand theft auto
I can't beleive I like a song that's completely about wasting your time on Grand Theft Auto. Genius!
-Don't really see any reference to drug taking.
References to drugs:
firstly, the title includes the word 'rolling'
-I don't want religion, keep the faith healing, I don't need a guru to teach me good feeling I just need an overdose of speed and I steal it, then I head back home, disconnect the phone
-Cause baby if you don't have none Then maybe you should come get some You'll never have to be so glum, again, good times ring my friend, all night long
-All the next day you'll be jumping in shadows Bleeding from the eyes, mentally shattered Hunched down on the couch with an overbite
this last one is a reference to the 'comedown' of speed
i know thatmany of these are also words to describe the game i.e rolling and speed but that is the genius of the song. the part about the comedown pretty much makes it undeniably about speed
