Good song! Im surprise anyone hasn't posted on this. Basicly this song about breaking away from the currupted and accept all race, sex, and sexuality.
The song is about war in general, more specifically the United States military campaign in Iraq. Pretty straightforward, unless you've been living in a cave for the past decade. Similar in theme to SOAD's "BYOB".
i actually quite like the song, the intro is wayyy to much like metallicas dyers eve IMO. but im the opposite in opinion with forever haunted...the words do not match the music

Blah, new Trivium. I don't like any of it, the music is alright, but the lyrics are just horrendous. Only thing I can do this is blame myself for buying the next album and hope they go in the right direction next time. As for the meaning of the, song it's pretty much about war. Not too hard to figure out.

this is basicly saying that the war in iraq is just about oil, which many will agree with. as for better lyrics in acendance, well when its hard to hear them what with all the screaming... dont get me wrong, i loved acendancy to bits, but the crusade it far more meaningful and far more mature.

advent flux this is most definitely trivum. this is better for them especially if they want to be mainstream because most people into mainstream metal wouldnt listen to them because they scream. and if you are upset about buying their new album or somethin sell it cuz you arent worthy of being a fan i say. and besides that the new trivium is far more mature and look at the matters of the world. by sayin this im agreeing with iamafish
Nevermind. The album has sort of grown on me over the past year. Seeing them in concert renewed my faith in them since they put on a great live show, but I still say Ascendancy was a better album.
