Fear Made The World Go Round Lyrics
you're trying to pretend
to love
all those people that you think are
beneath you
and there is no known doubt
that they got guns in their hands
there is no known doubt
that they got guns in their hands
'cause the whole world lives in fear
said the whole world lives in fear
and i know it
i know it
i know it
i know it
i know
i know in my bones
i know it
i know it
i know it
i know it
i know
i know in my bones
no it's not a question of loss
it's not a question of win
oh no
oh no
and no never mind the cost
or even how we get in
oh no
oh no
now i don't want you to feel so bad
no i don't want you to feel so bad
that's not what i want
we'll be okay
we're all okay
we'll be okay
we're all okay
to love
all those people that you think are
beneath you
that they got guns in their hands
there is no known doubt
that they got guns in their hands
said the whole world lives in fear
i know it
i know it
i know it
i know
i know in my bones
i know it
i know it
i know it
i know
i know in my bones
it's not a question of win
oh no
oh no
and no never mind the cost
or even how we get in
oh no
oh no
now i don't want you to feel so bad
no i don't want you to feel so bad
that's not what i want
we're all okay
we'll be okay
we're all okay
First thing that comes to my mind is the Iraq war. I'm pretty sure that's not what the song is about at all, but some parts sort of it make sense in that context.
I agree with you, it makes sense. Especially the first lines, that indicate to me that we, as a country, are claiming the Iraq war as something that is benefiting the Iraqi people (who are often seen as beneath the West) and not ourselves.
