This song is about a man in Pakistan who heard that his daughter (well actually niece) had committed adultery. He slaughtered her in the night, along with his actual daughters (three of them) fearing they would follow their older sister's footsteps. You can find more info here:

Skater...this is exactly what I said to my mate when I heard this song. It's through the never and the lyrics do remind me of bring your daughter to the slaughter. The whole album is based on what Metallica did during the black album. His voice, the riffs...it may be a rip off but fuck it I say!!! I love trivium and if they wanna show us how heavily they're influenced by a few bands then let em. I'm loving the fact that after all these years I can listen to a band that reminds me of the greats. I love Trivium!!!

dang this song is good. it is critisiing the tradition of so called honour killings which go on in the islamic world. i love it how trivium pick out examples to highlight a point in with a song. this way the band can make a point and not have annoyingly vague lyrics which sdont get the point across as well

It's got the word slaughter and daughter in it and it reminds you of Iron Maiden? Wonder why? Forget the fact that the subject matter is completely different and that some of Iron Maiden's lyrics were a bit silly at the best of times...(not a patch on Megadeth though!) but this song MUST be a rip off of Iron Maiden.

People need to stop whining about the Metallica influences too, I've listened to most Metallica albums and to be quite honest I can't see the huge Metallica comparison. The Crusade is slightly thrashy but the riffs are nowhere near the style of Metallica and the guitar tone is a mile away! We've heard it before, now talk about the song meanings damnit!
