Simple Survival Lyrics
The shadow within me
The sorrow at my feet
Push the colors from the makeup
Drop your feelings at the door
Has anybody here had enough?
Walking in on so much more
Gonna make you give up
I wanna see you get up
I said you're the only one
What's your name?
Who do you love?
I wanna hate you, kill you
Treat you like I've had enough
Keep breaking the shame
Rake away all I wanna say
Regretting the day
You don't believe in me
I'll show you just what you wanna see
The end in me
Gonna lead the revival
No simple survival
For me
The sorrow at my feet
Drop your feelings at the door
Has anybody here had enough?
Walking in on so much more
Gonna make you give up
I wanna see you get up
Who do you love?
I wanna hate you, kill you
Treat you like I've had enough
Rake away all I wanna say
Regretting the day
You don't believe in me
I'll show you just what you wanna see
The end in me
No simple survival
For me

Putting too much time in a relationship, yet being called unfaithful, the man says he is in deeply love with her and she is the only one, yet there is no acknowledgement and trust, man is tired of being on edge and is ready if the it breaks up, he has gathered all the courage to not fall down and is ready to end the relationship as he is tired of proving his love towards, courageous... Don't worry if someone falls down and cannot move on we have gothic artists like On thorns I lay, Katatonia, London after midnight and many to support the feeling 👍
Awesome song, even though the vid is a lil odd. Maybe about just giving up and doing just what you need to survive?
By the lyrics I get the vibe that maybe this song is about justifying if it's really worth staying with someone you've been in a relationship with.
Whether it's a friend, boyfriend/girlfriend, family member, husband/wife...it could really be any of those. They're always bringing you down and Mushroomhead are saying "get up" and "lead the revival" but it's never simple.
In this song I think he's speaking to someone who doesn't think he'll ever amount to anything.
Has anybody here had enough? Walking in on so much more... Gonna lead a revival No simple survival
I think this song is about NOT simpling moving on with a life that's only about going one day to the next. He is saying he wants to find more meaning then just simple survival. He wants to prove something.
its cool that there is finally a band that is obviousley influenced by Mike Patton to be getting a little recognition
I like the song's sound and music, but the new guy doesn't come close to Jmann's lyrics. The part where he raps has some amature lyrics, look at some of Jmann's parts and the lyrics are so much better. His voice is very close to Jmann's though. Lets face it, they will never be the same again.
@12Monkeys Just so you know. Waylon left and J mann is back. What did you say about not being the same again?

I still like MRH. I think Waylon is a good addition to the band. He sounds really close to J. Mann IMO. But yeah, I thought Pig Benis put away the pig mask to lay all the SlipKnoT-rip-off rumors to bed and shit. I was surprised to see it in this video. But yes the song sounds like it's about giving up.
first of all they is no battle between Slipknot and Mushroomhead. 12Monkeys and YourNameHere117 your just dumb cus your just being a much of dicks and give Mushromhead a bad name I think the song is about the simple survival
greg badguy there is bad blood between them dont seem so ignorant, at a mushroomhead show 2 members dressed as chris n shawn of slipknot mocking them giving the crowd a good laugh and when slipknot came to cleveland the floor whipped batteries at corey and the band and for the other guy who said waylon isnt as good as jmann ur right he is better then jmann, jmann hand picked him as his replacement listen to embrace the ending... its a masterpiece a song they could never do with jmann
"they could never do with jmann" - Thats true, the new vocalist has more of a range than JMann..It creates the opportunity for them to do songs like they did on this album like Embrace the Ending.
That is the point of the whole album really, even looking at the title of the album - The Band currently didn't die because JMann isn't in it.
What is debatable is whether the new sounds and such are better or worse than the old material. I personally prefer JMann and the albums they made with him, but this is partly because I have a bias against Waylon's voice sound - Its too "Emo-Crap"ish of a voice for me...
