rainygayboy, it's been previously established that this is a cover song so don't bash Fat Mike. Where do you turn for your "actual political insight and criticism"? I know, you "watch the news!" right? Ever suspect that our news is a little biased? As long as the message is introduced, people can research on their own time. No punk song is going to explain, in full detail, all that is wrong with this country in 2 mins!

i say this song is NOFX's second best, after of course the Decline, and probably one of their boldest politically. The song that got me interested in them in the first place, and the best song on their best album i think.
A perfect government is the true punker's mantra, conveying the right message: the government is fucked up and we all know it, we're just here to make sure everyone else understands. And we're gonna cuss a lot because we're pissed about it. Awesome.

Yeah this is a cover. The lyrics are really good though and seem very Nofxish anyway. It shows some of the problems in the U.S. and as the problems grow the government is only getting more powerful and more greedy.
dont get me wrong i like nofx but this criticism of the U.S. is weak at best. "how did the cat get so fat" is too vague. I agree totally that there is too much money in the hands of the gov. though and its just getting worse.
i think it a good song and i like to see what others say about it cool i didnt know it was a cover.
ah, i can leave this song on repeat for an eternity...and once it gets old just not listen to it for a week and then start it all over again
