i love this song. it makes me so completely happy inside.
i think sylvie is trying to say in this song that even if this person will probably tear them apart, change their life forever, go slow in the relationship, be completely sweet, etc- that she will love them no matter what, and only time can prove her fortelling..

Makes me feel like she's expecting this person to leave her at any moment, and she's submitting to it. I kind of hope "think you're going to take your time" means that it's becoming more likely for them to not leave her after all.
