i think the song is just about a girl, and confusion about his feelings for her and then finally realising he was wrong and now he's coming back to her... or maybe hes just coming home to a girl (literally) :P. whatever, awesome song anyway
I can pretty much directly relate to this song, because I'm in a long distance relationship with my boyfriend. He lives in Arizona and I live in NY/PA. So the first verse I can really relate to because sometimes I go crazy because he's not here and because we both love each other so much that it just gets to me, and then we can't see each other, so we rely on speaking on the phone.
& with the whole "I hope things haven't changed" is another scary part in a long distance relationship because once you finally see the other person, you don't know if they're the same as the last time you saw them.
& making up for time that you've lost is always VERY fun. if you know what I mean.
My husband is in Iraq right now but will be on his way home for leave sometime in the next few days! When I hear this song, I can imagine the excitement he must be feeling. He's coming back to the "normal life I had" and taking a break for that "whirlwind" of a place! I love this song!
i think. he left. for whatever reason. school, war, tour. but he comes back and hes scared that everything will be different. like joshtacular, i moved away. 800 miles. and when i go back to visit-even after a month or two-it feels like ive been gone for years. so much changes when youre not there day after day.
