His new album is good. I preferred his first one.. but, still, it's still absolutely amazing. He has a brilliant voice.
What it's about... I came here hoping I could get a litle help with that.....
I get the impression he's wanting to hold onto something that can't be...once the light of day starts (read: reality) presents itself, but while it's nighttime, he can fool himself...

I believe he's talking about his newfound love, as he's watching her sleep. Possibly a person he's having an affair with, since someone is trying to make them "change what we are". Also he has one foot out the door, as if he needs to go away soon. He admires his lovers' beauty as she's sleeping, wishing the moment could last forever.
It's a truly beautiful song. The acoustic guitar- part between the verse and chorus is exquisite.
