Says E of this song:

"Recorded at a sound check during the 2000 EELS Orchestra tour. You know you've been on tour too long when you start getting really weird nicknames for each other. We had breakfast at a hotel one day and there was President brand butter and Fruitley brand jam on the table. Lisa Germano dubbed me 'President Fruitley' and herself 'Vice President Fruitley.' Other band members included: Senator Fruitley, Prime Minister Fruitley and Crossing Guard Fruitley. The nicknames stuck for the rest of the tour. Please don't try to make sense of it."
