Knife Lyrics
I want you to know
When I look in your eyes
With every blow
Comes another lie
You think it's alright
You think it's alright
You think it's alright
You think it's alright
Can't you feel the knife?
Can't you feel the knife?
Can't you feel the knife?
Can't you feel the knife?
When I look in your eyes
With every blow
Comes another lie
You think it's alright
You think it's alright
You think it's alright
Can't you feel the knife?
Can't you feel the knife?
Can't you feel the knife?

i have a feeling this song is about a loving relationship he has/had has truly been damaged from all of their argueing leaving each other to lie to solve the problem momentarily, but the reoccuring effects keep building up and up. Leaving them unsatistfied and lost.
shit is soo chill
fits perfectly when burnt out&blazed
@JamzXIV My interpretation of this is someone you have a relationship with being careless and possibly disingenuous and not really thinking about, perceiving, or understanding how their treatment is affecting you. And, it's like, er, do you have, like, empathy? Can't you see how harmful this is? Do you care?

haha i loved it when Zach Condon from Beirut sang it
made me think of cutting
i feel like this song is someone reaching out to a friend of theirs that is addicted to drugs; because they mention the eye & "blow," its a sad way of life, but addicts always seem to "think it's alright" when really its as if they're stabbing a knife into the people close to them.
and himself
and himself
for me this song has described the feeling of trying to maintain a friendship with someone who doesn't return my romantic feelings. i guess my lie would be that i told him it was alright. he thinks it's alright. and. it still hurts me. feelin' the knife.
confronting somebody you love and have them lie right to your face. ouch.
sinister, though.. convincingly, a song from a wife-beater?
This song is beautiful...I love the way it sounds...
and I understand where they're coming from with the lyrics...being lied to by someone you care about is never alright...
The video is fucking crazy....
i well prefer zach condons drunken version :)
