very catchy song. i really like it becasue it can be interpreted in many different ways. obviously faith on a count of they are a christian band, but u can apply it to anything that you feel like giving up on. great song

Oh, and one more thing. I do believe that the line that says "This is a call to hearts that are feeding" is actually "This is a call to hearts that are fading". It just works better and it definetly sounds like it in the song.
yeah that's what it says on ther lyrics, and it DOES work alot better, because Josh said that this song was encouraging ppl to not give up on Hope that they have in God

Alright, to the actual meaning of the song. It's really beautiful actually, and I just got it while in church this Sunday. The lights dimmed and the trays with the bread and grape juice passed through the rows. For the first time in my life I asked myself "is it real?" Is there a heaven or hell? Eternal life? Jesus? There are constantly struggles in our lives that make us question our faith. This song is saying it's real. Don't stop believing. He wonders if God is there (sometimes we all wonder). The fading hearts in the song are people's faith fading away. We are the real though, and the truth is unchanging. So if you know that it's real in your heart, than it will always be real.
