Hand of Stone Lyrics
No one, sees the diffrence in the land
Where the sky meets earth
Form horizons
Hand of stone
Arm of strength
Nature's fire
Fist of god
Venom, stains the lips and burns the tongue
With vengeance and hatred
Extremities, forged in nature's fire
Unrelenting vigor
Carve the future
Feast or famine
Drink deception
The wells run dry
The need for temptation
Falling thru brain field
Head for divide
The hand matches
The hand that leads the way
To kill the shepherd
Just to see his face
Heed the warning
Ingest the rotten bone
The hand that falters
The hand that turns to stone
Chew, on the root that gives us sight
Cranium shatters
Feed, the needles as they fall
The truth
The Mask
Brain devided
Where the sky meets earth
Form horizons
Arm of strength
Nature's fire
Fist of god
With vengeance and hatred
Extremities, forged in nature's fire
Unrelenting vigor
Carve the future
Drink deception
The wells run dry
The need for temptation
Head for divide
The hand that leads the way
To kill the shepherd
Just to see his face
Heed the warning
Ingest the rotten bone
The hand that falters
The hand that turns to stone
Cranium shatters
The truth
The Mask
Brain devided

I agree with every comment on this song so far.
Also one of my favourites off of Blood Mountain, and I feel it's somewhat underrated amongst the other songs on the album.
This song is pretty sick and i think at some point the character falls some distance and hits his head cuz he hesitates. Brents voice is helllll of nasal at the HAAAAND of stone, ARRRRRM of strength part. Its kind of wierd.
two words: cranium shatters.
Honestly, one of the best and most original songs on Blood Mountain, and that's saying A LOT. It takes some time to get into and understand, as does pretty much the entire album, but when you first crack it and pass the threshold a whole fucking world of amazing music is opened before you.
every song on blood mountain is as good as the last, which is rare in music these days. i think this song is about how the main character learns to control his werewolf side, that it isn't a curse, but a weapon he can use, a hand of stone he can use to defeat enemies, he realises that the gods haven't cursed him, but gifted him. lines like "brain divided", "arm of strength, nature's fire" and "the truth, the mask" show this, as well as the awesome bit before the solo. Also the last line i mentioned suggests the guestioning of which is his true self, the human or the wolf. Sorry, this is my A level English Literature showing through.
A-level 'illiterature' more like it, with all the capitalization and splices. Nah, I tease. Good explanation. The Mountain's extremities are beginning to preotrude, Our hero is experimenting with certian hallucinogens....provoking a challenge he may not surmount??
him going through some village or something and the part "Head For Divide"has to do with siberian divide and also heed the warning
On a blood mountain survival guide made by the band, a pamphlet they gave at concerts, this song number corresponds with an elm forest where there is a rose that is a natural hallucinogen and the bark causes either the same thing or paralyzation im not sure but i think the character ingests some of this stuff and that leads to the mortal soil.
this song is about how the protagonist has gone and defeated his omen from the cysquatch, being the hunters of the sky and hes getting ahead of himself. he sees a giant red rose and it is alluring to him and for some reason he decides to eat part of it adn starts tripping balls gaining the incite seen in this mortal soil. because all hallucinogens teach profound spiritual lessons, as seen in their new CD.
