no comments? shock and appallation! this song kicks ass! i saw them play this live when i went t the living end concert. it was awesome.
i saw these guys live aswell, living end convert too. they were fantastic, more better live than the cd (personal opinion). i think this song is about a relationship, the guy is saying 'you and i will be something special, all you need to do is be with me'. and he's also saying 'if you want me, just slide in next to me'... that's my interpretation of it.

this is another great song from the red riders debut album!!! the meaning of the song is quite obvious- i dont think that he feels anything deeper for this person.
This song is sexy =D And I agree with Danagirl. 'Cept my friend saw them live and he said he was absolutely off his face on something other than alcohol and couldnt even finish the performance properly... He was rolling around on the floor. hahaha. I love the Red Riders.

it may also have to do with simple conversations and how he sings "but still its what youre paid for" ... i dont know actually but yeah.

i think its about a girl he wants to have sex with. "sure, it's not all you're good for but still it's what your paid for" maybe shes employed somehow by the band. ArtBitch is totally right about the "break the surface" bit and later on they might have a deeper connection but i think he just wants sex at that moment. i love this song. red riders are awesome. im suprised their new stuff isnt up. "ordinary" has a more upbeat sound than "slide in next to me" but its still chill
