Brandy Lyrics
Played a few bars of a melody and it sounded sweet to me
I thought I'd get up and take a look around but my feet got in the way
Stumbled to the floor she was right in the door, I could see her face
My best friend's gone, I'm so all alone
When are you coming back home?
I really miss you Brandy, missing you everyday
Are you coming home to stay?
Cause I love you Brandy, oh yeah yeah yeah
Like a little child with a fantasy, just a fraction of a man
But I was in love when they put her down
Oh, my doorstep in the rain
I could feel the love coming to my heart, through my window pane
My best friend gone, I'm so all alone
When are you coming back home?
I really miss you Brandy, missing you everyday
Are you coming home to stay?
When are you coming back home? I'm so all alone
I really miss you Brandy, missing you everyday
Are you coming home to stay?
When are you coming back home?
Oh, I really miss you Brandy, missing you everyday
Are you coming home to stay?
When are you coming back home? I'm so all alone
I really miss you
"But I was in love when they put her down On my doorstep in the rain."
-Clearly he's talking about a dog people!!
I think it could be about a child because of the lyrics that song. sippin on cherry soda pop building houses made of sand. can a dog build a house made of sand
Taken at face value, I'd say this song is about loving a childhood friend and losing her. But, for some reason, I keep reading into this song that it could be about a dog. Either way, I like it!
it was a a childhood friend... its more like she was left on his doorstep when he was little and they grew up together but when she got older she ran away... my names brandy and my uncle played this song for me at my graduation party and hes a dj so he knows a lilttle about music himself.
I hate to burst your bubble but the song is about a dog. Here's a link to Rolling Stones Magazine review on the song.
the article you have posted as it is stating, the person suspects it is about a dog rather than a woman, but really has no idea. Go back and read it over.

Yes, people this song is about a dog!
The single "Brandy" has long been speculated by many fans to be about a woman. However, in 2013, production team Gamble and Huff revealed the song was, in fact, written about a dog.[4]
