Maybe it's about how somebody knows they are going to be leaving someone, so nothing really seems to matter to them anymore.

The whole "Forever Now" LP sounds like a coked-out nightmare -- and I don't mean that as an insult. This song sounds like a partyer who keeps running into a person he's getting tired of but who runs in the same circles and he can't get rid of. "Hello to you hello to me And yes I really care" -- very sarcastic delivery; you don't believe he does CARE "I'll see you all around sometime I hope that I'm not there" - in other words, he doesn't want to see this person who is probably a real pain in the neck!
