I think this song is about a guy who wants to have sex with his girlfriend, but she doesn't (she just wants to lye on the bed). then later in the song she changes her mind and says that they can do it in her brother's car, but then he just wants to go and grab something to eat.

well apparently they wrote the song about rock n roll from the 50s/60s or somthing like that so i figure its not completely about sex...
I think, maybe, it's about sex and the whole before rock 'n' roll thing too. The whole fact that music used to be so innocent and then in the late 50s early 60s, music became 'sexy' and alot of songs were full of strong innuendos. He wants to hear something pure and innocent, something that's not sexual or trashy. He wants to go for a bite to eat, but she wants to do it in his brother's car.
Well, I saw an interview once - where the band said themself that this song is about a girl they met once, who told them that boys and girls were much closer before rock'n'roll.
