wow, thanks for posting this song!! i love disco pigs, and it took me forever to find this song.

i don't know what the song means, but i'd guess it's just about 2 people who care about each other so much, but it just doesn't work anymore. finally they have to part, thus the "things look beautiful when they're away from you."

also, this meaning goes along with the plot of disco pigs... pig and runt are best friends, but their relationship is so destructive that runt must break away from pig in order to have a life of her own and live in the world like an ordinary person.

anyways, i'd recommend disco pigs to any fans of cillian murphy. it's a good film, but definitely not for everyone... it actually can be kind of horrible, but it's like watching a train wreck, you might hate it, but you can't turn your eyes away. riveting.

I don't know the film but I love that song ! His voice is..sad but so beautiful... I really want to watch Disco Pigs, but I'm french and I don't know where can I buy them, DVD and soundtrack.

i love Cillian's voice he should do more songs. i love this line "The island boats was slow We heard the Monkeys on the radio The only song you know" It just reminds me of simple things like going to the beach and chilling. This song is beautiful period and Disco Pigs was lucky to have Cillian write it for them jk but really the soundtrack was great and this was the icing.

This song just fits the movie perfectly. I love them both so very much. And I love Cillian Murphy even more! So, I guess this song is about a guy that loves a woman so much, and things are great between them until some point. They drift, and because she can no longer be the same way around him, he can only watch her beauty from afar, and that doesn't necessarily mean in the literal sense. He just doesn't know how to get even closer to her anymore, but he still loves her so.
