This Meg & Dia's aethist/agnostic opus. They're saying how they've come to grips that there is no afterlife (in their opinion) and that they are okay with "natural decay". How they also believe that believing in any such afterlife is decieveing themselves.

this song is about and love but also it is a very depressing sing meaning that she is suppose to be happy and decieved basically shes deserving theshings but she can't control them

This song is about living for the here and now. There is nothing after this, which they have resolved themselves to, so they are going to make the fullest of what they have now.

P.S. This idea comes from the idea that we were all born without a purpose and we are insignificant and worth nothing more than anything else in this plant, such as fish, which births self worship-living for one's self and acting purely on what they believe and want (which isn't just selfishness or greed, kindness comes from this too, I'm not denying that) and this theory comes from the basis of Darwinism. Darwin's theories are what spawned a specific German's ideas about life and compelled him to act upon them. He was able to win other Germans to see things his way, and thus the Jewish genocide was born, along with the killing off of those deemed to weak to survive. I just felt the need to point that out.

3. I wouldn't call Darwin brilliant, just someone who said something that other people took differently than they should have and have used it and twisted it and reworded it.
4. Darwinism is, at it's core, the belief in evolution. you can't really say evolution is true while Darwinism is not.
5. I think people should pay more attention to the fact that a.) Darwin never considered himself an atheist-just that he was uncertain about God (agnostic), and b.) Darwin himself stated that if there was no proof to be found of his theory, then it wasn't true. He knew that it was possible since it was just an idea that occurred to him. No evidence has been found showing the proof of evolution, therefore it is not true. 6. Also his statement about "survival of the fittest" is wrong as well. "But is this the way it really is? We submit to each thinking person that this is not the way it is.
