New Health Rock Lyrics

Why so pathetic?
Never thought you, I
Every heavenly light
Such a sinister way
Roll your eyes all day
At all the people kickin
Golden girls, stop and stare
Double decker, so lookin pretty.

Why such a serious miss
just made my serious list.

Now I demand that you act like you dont know.
Go where you want.
And if it drops to hot,
better drop it like its hot, so.

Listen up every battle ever had
But if you dont go now, then you might not never.

Listen up every battle ever had
But if you dont come now, then you might not never.

Listen up every battle ever had
But if you dont blaze now, then you might not never.

Listen up every battle ever had
But if you dont go now, then you might not never.

You might call me a medic
And move foreward
So sick of the solar
Hear bombs drop
But God you came to get lost
Oh this fashon
Burnin by fashon

And she told you should shut it
And dare not lazy astetic
And remember this wine stone dangerous
Open wide to it
Shake it like you have to let it drop and let it drown you

Listen up every battle ever had
But if you dont go now, then you might not never.

(?)
Might not dust off your heals
Let it roll let it peel
Quit actin so shy and unsure
So detatched and in your cue
Your pullin let it move you
Put your body on automatic

Lose control, let it in
Spin it, ride, you can bend
And guide you
Under red lights
Well into the night
And if we work it like we wanna
We can swell into the skin tight

Listen up every battle ever had
But if you dont go now, then you might not never.

Go, go.

This is about getting drunk or high, but not just that. I will expand later.

I always thought he said "Listen up every body not in heaven"

"so detached and in your cue" is totally actually "so detached and demure"

I interpret the song as being about encouraging people in the arts to be more daring and to really put everything they have into their art.

Lines and phrases such 'why so pathetic?','Quit acting so shy and unsure...', and 'Put your body on automatic' I think are a stab at all the straight faced bands who act like the most important part of being in a band is looking cool and deep in the video, resulting usually with musical and lyrical banalty. I think the title 'New Health Rock' refers to this, i.e. bands more interested in playing it safe than taking any risks etc. I think we all know the type of bands...:)

The 'listen up every battle ever had...' lines are encouraging artists to treat their art like a battlefield and throw mind, body and soul into it, and not just worry about looking cool and reflective.

In a nutshell I think its a song encouraging artistic imagination and courage, and is damning artistic conservatism.

p.s. I think alot of the lyrics above are incorrect no? No time to correct now anyway.

Brilliant, awesome song. Lyrics seem pretty wrong here though. I'm not sure but I think the "every battle" line is actually something closer to "listen up every band that never ever . . ." I think profoundkey's got the right idea, it's about going wild with your creativity, not being afraid to take chances and risks. This song makes me think of how Tunde dances around at show, he totally lets himself go with the music, it's killer.
