she's just saying that people worry too much in life about money, and other things that aren't worth it in the end, and they're not living enough.
I was listening to this in bed and something kinda clicked. You can't let things go by, even your scared or unsure [and i get like that alot] these things come and go you need to grab at them.

Personally, I think maybe the person's lost their will to live and she's trying to talk someone into living again. Not physically persay, but pulling them back into actually living their life again.
Haha, honestly when she sings 'and never take for granted every breath you're breathing in' was 'and we will leave the planet, all the crap your breathing in'. I was always so confused...
But yeah, I think this song is basically saying live every day to the fullest. Short and simple. Live your life the way you want and to the best extent you ever could do and want to.

She learned some lessons from that experience; realised how important it is to really live life; to know what is really important and what isn't and not to focus on things that are trivial.
Don't waste time. There's so little and so much of it. You don't know when it will run out, and you don't want to look back thinking "I wish I hadn't done that," "I worried too much for no reason," "I wish I had made better choices..." Regret's a bitch. ;]
