February Lyrics
I was a child
He was a child
In a land not so far fromthe sea
Such a cold, cold night
The angels betrayed me
Their beauty is like
The sharp end of a knife
God had His favourite angel
Wearing a wire that night
February
Not Annabelle Lee
February
Wait for me
I used to skate
Across a fozen lake
Out by the woods
The best i could
I know the taste of ice
As it shifts and breaks
February
Not Annabelle Lee
February
Wait for me
He was a child
In a land not so far fromthe sea
Such a cold, cold night
The angels betrayed me
Their beauty is like
The sharp end of a knife
God had His favourite angel
Wearing a wire that night
Not Annabelle Lee
February
Wait for me
Across a fozen lake
Out by the woods
The best i could
I know the taste of ice
As it shifts and breaks
Not Annabelle Lee
February
Wait for me

I think this Corinna Fugate song is about death and about losing someone you love to death.
Not really sure if I've got this quite right, but I think this refers to the poem Annabel Lee (Edgar Allan Poe) and how he believes his love Annabel Lee died because the angels were jealous of the couples love.
He felt betrayed by the angels and I think this shows in lines such as "God had His favourite angel Wearing a wire that night" and "I know the taste of ice, As it shifts and breaks." To me, this lines hint at the feeling of betrayal, as Poe felt.
However, the poem "Annabel Lee" also states the two lovers souls will never be seperated, which for me is shown in the "Wait for me"
