Living Room Lyrics
Floating through my old living room
Shifting in and out of view
And i'm just watching you living
I'm just watching you
Floating through my old living room
Shifting in and out of view
And i'm just watching you breathing
I'm just watching you
And i'd give up Heaven just to hold you tonight
Floating through my old office room
Papers lying so askew and i'm only thinking
I'm only thinking of you
I watch you sleep, I kiss your cheek
Tell me love can you feel me as i'm just
Watching you dreaming I'm just Watching you dreaming I'm just watching you
And i'd give up Heaven just to hold you tonight
So when you go to the window
I'll turn on the stars and let you
Fall so far into my arms that we'll be
All the way alive again
Oh again
And i'd give up Heaven just to touch you
And i'd give up Heaven just to hold you tonight
Floating through
Out of view
Heaven is you
Shifting in and out of view
And i'm just watching you living
I'm just watching you
Floating through my old living room
Shifting in and out of view
And i'm just watching you breathing
I'm just watching you
Papers lying so askew and i'm only thinking
I'm only thinking of you
I watch you sleep, I kiss your cheek
Tell me love can you feel me as i'm just
Watching you dreaming I'm just Watching you dreaming I'm just watching you
I'll turn on the stars and let you
Fall so far into my arms that we'll be
All the way alive again
Oh again
And i'd give up Heaven just to hold you tonight
Floating through
Out of view
Heaven is you

This is such a beautiful song. Corinna Fugates song "Living Room" to me means she is being lovingly haunted, as she sings, by someone on the "other side" or "spirit side". Fugate seems to be singing about the afterlife lingering near her in this life...if that makes sense.
I see this song as being though the perspective of someone who has passed away. However, they are still lingering in the physical world and are looking in on the one's they love (who are still living) and reminding them that they aren't that far away.
On the Snow White CD, this song is immediately preceded by the song "I'm Still Here," which makes a good introduction to "Living Room" because in it, the album shifts focus from Corinna's painful laments, mostly about Heath, to the actual perspective of Heath, reassuring Corinna that he is still here with her, which then leads into "Living Room" in which Heath describes returning in spirit to this world he left behind to see what is transpiring. wishing he could hold her again.
