The only reason I knew what lycanthropy meant was because In the movie Underworld the werewolves were called lycans.

I dont know whats its like to be a were wolf......but id imagine it would be much like that.

I would say that that part definitely is about the moon. As the moon controls tides, hence pulling up the oceans.
and "Please pull me up with the oceans" would mean bring him out as a werewolf when the moon comes out.
it wouldnt surprise me if they did do acid. some of their good friends that i got high with last year do meth and stuff. and im pretty sure they all smoke weed so yeah.
