I think this song has to do with drug abuse and how drugs bring you to that happy place " Just make me fucking numb, Deaf, blind and fucking dumb. " points towards that and " This could be my requiem, and i'll feel no pain " is Randy saying that his smoking or whatever is his requiem but he'll feel no pain because hes happy while doing it.
it could just be another reference to alcohol. randy uses the same comparison in 11th hour and it was about alcohol. the "deaf, blind, and fucking numb" part compared to the "SEDATE, NUMB, DEAF AND DUMB" you know, same kinda thing. randy's biggest problem seems to be alcohol, which he's already getting better from what i've heard.

alright, I have just recently watched the dvd that comes with the "deluxe edition" throught the dvd it has a few references that randy might have something wrong with him, like an illness, bet that never really say. so maybe if you look at the lyrics as if he is talking about a disease, that might open up some new doors of discusion
