Written In A Reststop Lyrics
There's a thing we call heartbreak,
but I don't think
my heart's ever let me down
my heart's never let me down
But I still cry 'cause I can't always have it my way
And sometimes cryin' can help ya out
Sing it aloud (2X)
And SCREAM
shred your lungs
I need to hear you louder now
And SING
as if you'll never sing again
And when the morning comes
and your throat is sore
you'll face the day like you did before,
with a smile on in the end
Then I don't know if you can hear me,
But I can hear the sound of my own echo coming back alone and,
I don't know why that should scare me
to be so lonely
But I can't stop cryin' out
Sing it aloud (2X)
Chorus
I want to hear you sing this song
back to me,
Across thousands of miles from home where I should be,
And I miss you so badly,
But I won't waste a simile
'Cause you already know what you mean to me,
If only I could hear you,
SCREAM
Shred your lungs
I need to hear you louder now,
And sing, as if you'll never sing again
And when the morning comes and your throat is sore
you'll face the day like you did before,
with a smile on in the end
Won't you SCREAM
Shred your lungs
I need to hear you louder now
And SING
as if you'll never sing again
And when the morning comes and your throat is sore
you'll face the day like you did before,
with a smile on in the end
but I don't think

my heart's never let me down

yay
i love the first verse.
it's actually called "Written At a Reststop".
i love this song so much. it's a song that pretty much tells you that you just need to let it all out, if you want to ever let it go in the end.. and as long as you free yourself from what it is that is troubling you, you're going to be just fine.
this song is amazing.
i love ronnie day.
actually, the lyrics are (STRETCH your lungs)...it's in The Album cover lyrics
i've been following ronnie since he put his music up on purevolume a few years back. i've seen him twice in concert, and he's nothing short of amazing. he told us in one of his performances that this song (Written At a Reststop) was written when he first started recording. he was driving through Texas when a major storm hit, and apparently stopped at a reststop. he picked up his guitar, and wrote this song. he also told us something along the lines of the chorus representing the roaring trucks passing by him, and the verse representing the rain.

yehh i saw him in concert during the school year and he explained to us that this song was called "Written at a reststop" because it was indeed "written at a reststop" anyways, i love the chorus... the verses are okay but i really think the chorus sells the song...
"And I miss you so badly, but I won't waste a similie."
Amazing. :]
Ronnie Day is amazing, I only wish more people would pay attention to the amazing lyrics.
This song has way more than just one line that can get to you, they're all amazing.
ronnie day is by far my favourite artist, with this being my favourite song. anytime i am down i listen to this and sing it as loud as i can, helps me calm down and reassures me that everything will be better in the end.
