Anthem (We Are The Fire) Lyrics
Just when they thought you were through
You've burned their lies
now you're strengthened it's true
Turn your backs on your enemies
And let those motherfuckers rot in their jealousy
They, Can't stand
That the worlds up for taking and we are adamant
Hell bent
Determined to dominate everything
We are the fire
Resound the anthem
The music connects, unites us more
Our masses strengthened, an unstoppable horde
We're all now a family
ogether let's show the world what we say
You've burned their lies
now you're strengthened it's true
And let those motherfuckers rot in their jealousy
That the worlds up for taking and we are adamant
Determined to dominate everything
Resound the anthem
Our masses strengthened, an unstoppable horde
ogether let's show the world what we say

Screaming...singing...why get hung up on it instead of just enjoying the music? As long as it kicks ass, who cares? I like the fact that they are showing a little diversity, but I don't hate other bands for always sounding the same. It all rocks, so I don't complain.
Not gonna get it from Trivium on this album, or at all if they decide to not use harsh vocals again. I doubt that though, all this backlash for not having screaming is bound to make them write a song or two in a future album or whatever.
theres screaming on becoming the dragon for all the dipshits who havent listened to the whole album yet

Lol, really don't get those guys who hate music with talent.. Trivium is showing that they are much more than just screamers.. Showing that they can sing and scream.. - Some bands just can't sing.. Well, I like this song ;D A bit softer than normally, but really good :) .. Yet it still not beats Dying in your arms ;P
@Trivium.dk the "whoa" vocals are pretty ordinary on this song ... doesn't sound like there was much enthusiasm going on from the band for this song (bit of a going through the motions type of song with few high points).

i saw them live and matt heafy said wat this song means, this song is about the bullshit that every1 has to go thru everyday whether its school, work family, its about this and rising above it all, and y is brat commenting on the trivium page if he doesnt like them
how many fuckin idiots out there are going to say this bullshit bout trivium and metallica? they have openly stated that they are all big fans of metallica, but to state that they are trying to be the next metallica is just stupid. For starters every metal band is trying to be the next metallica, its hardly a bad thing, not to mention the only thing that makes the crusade sound metallica-esque, is simply because its heavy metal dumbshits, metallica practically shaped the genre. They cut out the screaming for this album because they didnt listen to music with screaming in it, and they thought why not try something different, never seen such a critical bunch of wankers
i was waiting for someone to post this
this song kicks 15 kinds of ass
finally someone that agress with me.
trivium is an amazing band, people say they sound like metallica. so what? they pushed mettalica's sound farther. trivium is better than metallica will ever be
@socio-impaired I personally don't really hear a strong Metallica influence in their music. And for your second part Master of Puppets, Ride the Lightning and Black all outweigh anything Trivium have ever put out ... the two aren't even really in the same league

socio-impaired, I'm gonna pretend I didn't hear that last part... I actually think Crusade sounds like a much better album than Ascendancy. Never liked the metalcore scream much anyway. It grew boring. Besides, if a band never changes their style all their stuff will sound the same. Who would want that?
