Little Bear Lyrics
Little bear
Little bear
You're getting out of hand
Getting out of hand
I think I'm gonna lose you now
Little bear
Little bear
You know me too well anyway
Too well every day
I'm going home
I'm going beneath the stars
I'm going under the soil again
And I won't be back in a long time
So get out
Get out of this old house
Before I burn it down
I wouldn't wanna cause you anything
That might break your lovely face off
In a thousand shattered china pieces
In this bracken world of broken pieces
Little bear
You're getting out of hand
Getting out of hand
I think I'm gonna lose you now
Little bear
You know me too well anyway
Too well every day
I'm going home
I'm going under the soil again
And I won't be back in a long time
So get out
Get out of this old house
Before I burn it down
I wouldn't wanna cause you anything
That might break your lovely face off
In a thousand shattered china pieces
In this bracken world of broken pieces

this is about losing a girl (or a guy). little bear =pet name (perhaps)
things are getting crazy in their realtionship, and he has to leave to stop it before it gets worse.
yes, certainly has a sorrowful undertone, quite a dark, despairing feel to it, fyfe can really give a song true feeling with his vocals
I think the little bear is himself
No comments? I think this is a beautiful opening to the album. There is something lullaby-like about it, its a song you should listen to at night.
Anyone else think the music at the very start of the song sounds like the music from Finding Nemo?
I agree with dcraigross that it sounds lullaby like but I think it has a sorrowful undertone with it
I think iluke1 is right. The singer feels that his relationship to someone is slowly ending and he wants to make a stop before both get hurt too much.
This song is beautiful.
The very start of the song sounds like Spirited Away more than Finding Nemo.
And I agree with iluke1. It sounds like their relationship has become rocky.
The first verse makes me think maybe "little bear" is becoming unruly and he's loosing who he loved as she's changing. Or perhaps her problems are overshadowing their relationship.
Second verse "You know me too well anyway, too well everyday" sounds like the relationship is too predictable ... they know each other too well. "I'm going under the soil again" suggests they've been through problems before. So to avoid the pain he's leaving before the real emotional damage begins.
In other words ... You love some one but you have to leave because you can't live with who they've grown into. You know each other so well that you know the source of each argument and how it's going to end. And unless one of you goes it'll just keep on going in circles re-opening an emotional wound.
The song, for me, is about a break up. The guy is singing to her, telling her that he's leaving her, because he feels, he cant live with her (perhaps) reckless ways any longer.
This is exactly how I feel right now. My girlfriend and I have reached the end of our 1 1/2 year relationship. We've realized that we can't give each other what we want and need. We still live together in her house and I know I have to leave her, but its so hard to let go. The heart ache is almost unbearable. I don't want to hurt her, but continuing will only delay the pain and make it even worse. The last couple of days this song has stuck with me. She's my little bear. So small, yet so strong. I still love her and I know I'm gonna miss her terribly for months, maybe even years to come.
Why does love have to suck so much?!
