This is about people getting married for all the wrong reasons, and before being ready to settle down. "Three months late". They are getting married because they messed up and she got pregnant. It's not a suitable cause for marriage, and the guests of the wedding know that the marriage will not last.

It's a funny, laugh-out-loud kind of song about how some people don't take marriage seriously or get married for the wrong reasons! (i.e 'cos you're three mths late or something). Faith sounds great on it, but I would love to hear either Sara Evans or Natalie Maines singing this song - They have humourous type voices.
