my phone's got a camera, it's built right in
but it's hard to keep the dirt and grease off the lens
the last time you were happy since so long ago now
i tried to take a picture but it didn't come out

and the messages sent are almost as blurred
my cryptic printstyles dials to songs no one’s heard
if we keep this up, things will never get better
when we disagree we fight in capital letters

I have to type eleven numbers into my cel phone
Just to make it spell ‘love’
So I usually don’t
And it takes up fifteen digits to spell out ‘goodbye’
But if I leave out the ‘good’ I can save us some time
55566688833

my throat’s a little sore after last night’s events
you were somewhere doing something
I was out with my friends
You wrote just to ask if I was having fun
and I guess I didn’t text you back quite fast enough
So when I got home you were awake in the den
There were tears in your eyes, the lights were dimmed
I turned off my phone, you did the same
And we fought face-to-face like it was the 90s again

I have to type eleven numbers into my cel phone
Just to make it spell ‘love’
So I usually don’t
And it takes up fifteen digits to spell out ‘goodbye’
But if I leave out the ‘good’ I can save us some time
(x2)

i love all the unobvious hidden takes-30minutes-to-unearth information everyone is giving

To me it definetely sounds like the decay of a relationship caused by the distance (and comfort) speaking through texting can provide.

In the line "I guess i didn't text you back quite fast enough", its almost a parody. In this day and age of technology, we expect everything instaneously. Ironically, it would have taken him less time to just call her than it would for him to text her.

Everything about this song is rushed to a point. Its sped up at an almost frantic pace.

This is most prevelant in the part where he's "calling it off" by typing goodbye, but realizing he can "save time" by leaving the "good part" off.

A relationship defined by conversations over text message...really sad when you think about it.

    55566688833 = "love", if you're not using T9.

the song is clear.hes breaking up with his girl.and it says "when we disagree we fight in capital letters" meaning that they are so wrapped in technology that they dont even have time to argue.then it say "I turned off my phone, you did the same And we fought face-to-face like it was the 90s again"..because in the nintys, people didnt have text messaging.so they had to fight face to face.so his relationship ended where it began..with REAL human enteracions. get it now?

short, dont talk down to people when you cant spell interactions right.

i really enjoy this song and i could use a lot more cleverly written songs about texting and instant messaging (IMpossible by figurine) in my life.
