I feel this song is about that guy you know: the real badass, driving fast, full of himself, dark and moody and so completely over this thing every other peon on this planet calls life. Too sullen and angry to appreciate anything without a cynical eye. He's controlling.

I don't know too much about this band in a personal band member sense....but this song seems like it's almost saying something general about women/girls....she's dating the "prince of darkness", seen as a very evil character, and yet "it's her you should keep an eye on". That's just my interpretation.
I think the song is about a male who suffers from something along the lines of extreme depression, and he is dating a female who is normal and sweet, with hobbies and goals. The reason she should be watched after is because she will potentially start to feel the same darkness by being around him so often.
I don't think that it is his intention to hurt her - he's simply the prince of his dark world. Depression unfortunately effects everyone around you, and she's in danger of having the life sucked out of her.
