I remember now, but I still have my doubts
I think it's gonna be today
Everybody came, but it's just not the same
Why did it have to be today?
Now my chest is tight, no, I am not all right
It doesn't have to be this way
Why does it have to be this way?

I don't know what's wrong,
It's like I'm too far gone
It doesn't matter, anyway
Fear is in my heart, just when I stop, it starts
And I can never live this way

Freedom in a cage, no sun and too much rage
I don't know how much I can take
Push it down inside, but it know just where I hide
I know that "normal" is hard to fake
Bleeding into life, it's like a thousand knives
Are slowly turning me to this
Why does it have to be like this?

I don't know what's wrong,
It's like I'm too far gone
It doesn't matter, anyway
Fear is in my heart, just when I stop, it starts
And I can never live this way

I lost again, today

I don't know what's wrong,
It's like I'm too far gone
It doesn't matter, anyway
Fear is in my heart, just when I stop, it starts
And I can never live this way
Living with a curse, sometimes it's even worse
It slowly kills me everyday
Something I despise is gonna take my life
I guess I'll try again today

Just a guess, maybe it's someone dealing with depression or anxiety.

By the way, that weird sounding part just before "freedom in a cage", when played backwards, says "Yeah, that's pretty good. You can turn the music up if you want, yeah." I have absolutely no idea what that has to do with anything.

It could be about when he was drinking. "freedom in a cage" feeling free, but not really.

the "yeah, thats pretty good. you can turn the music up if you want yeah" its real...and cool, but its repeats "yeah, thats" several times then it says that

this song is about corey's withdrawl from alcohol, "Fear is in my heart - Just when I stop, it starts", that line is about how when corey stops drinking, all the bad memories come back

it sounds to me like someone who can't deal with living in ordinary society, hence the name socio, and he is constantly forced to try to be like everyone else, "i know that normals hard to fake," and "why does it have to be like this?"

Maybe even about that normal society and it's flaws may be pushing someone to the brink of sanity

Does the title have anything to do with it's Latin translation, "With an ally?"

Just a thought. Good song anyway

This is totally about Corey's addiction. "Freedom in a cage" is great line. I guess all of us felt that great feeling of freedom, when we could run out on the street naked, screaming: "I am the king of the world", after drinking some amount of alcohol? yeah, remember all the crazy stuff you did when you were drunk, feeling free?

In Corey's case it's pretty the same, he feels free when he's drunk, but the addiction is his metaphoric cage.

this song reminds me of my holiday this year. funny but it was my sunbathing song.. something upbeaty to get me dancing in the sunbed! no im not mad.. but has anyone not realised the error in the lyrics at the end? 'i guess i'll try again tomorrow' is actually 'i guess i will try again today'!!

Anyway.. i agree its something to do with living with depression or a alcohol problem, the whole 'living with a curse' is awesome.. means its something he is trying so hard to defeat.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
