This is an amazing song. I cry every time I hear it. I just wish I had a father to share it with.
The song is about a father's love for his daughter that is getting married (pretty simple).
For me, I think of it in terms of my daughter. Only instead of getting married, she died and went to heaven. In the quiet of the morning of July 5, I watched as she took her last few breaths and went to join our Heavenly Father. I knew that once she saw heaven, there was no way that she would come back to me.
I wish my father had felt like this about me. I listen to this song with such sadness.
