Ok I thought about it, and I think that this song means basically that if he has some sort of secret, and that he understands everyone has secrets. Some things are better left unsaid, so to say. Possibly someone he was hiding the secret from found out, and he says he understands if they leave, but he also understands that they have secrets as well. I could be pretty off base. =D

this song is about being a vampire and having to hide your fangs. i would know.

this is the first song on a concept album about vampires, and it discusses fangs inside someone. no deeper meaning, just vampires.

i think it's kind of a double entendre. on the surface it's obviously a reference to vampires, but i think it also has a lot to do with the ways that people disguise their negative flaws &traits from another person when they enter a relationship. he has all of these things that he doesn't want her to know about, &so he doesn't mind if she wants to hide the things she's ashamed of as well.

i really like how all the songs on their latest album is completely about vampires. i didnt know how closely vampires related to human emotions..

I agree with _aeronautical. Also, by saying "I don't mind if you want to hide your fangs too" is more of a common respect. You both understand you are trying your best to be your best until you get to know each other. Once you are okay with imperfections, good couples seem to work through the actualy "fang" issues, otehrwise that is the determining factor. But in the meantime, let's hide our fangs...see where it goes.
