Seemingly Sleepy Lyrics

wake me up to the sound of my feet upon the ground
get me up, get me through, give myself a talking to
I'm awake, and although that it's not my place to say
brush the hair from my ears and slowly walk away
'cause this is the day
this is the day
this is the day

early to bed, early to rise
seemingly sleepy, with open eyes
early to bed, early to rise
sleeping still on the bright side

waking up to the sound of my feet above the ground
gets me up, follows through with my fortunes to renew
I'm awake and I know that it's no one's place to say
toss the hair from my ears and slowly walk away
'cause this is the day
this is the day
this is the day

early to bed, early to rise
seemingly sleepy, with open eyes
early to bed, early to rise
sleeping still on the bright side

early to bed, early to rise
seemingly sleepy, with open eyes
early to bed, early to rise
sleeping still on the bright side

The song is kinda happy and carrys a poppy beat to it, Lyrics make me feel like the person is waking up and like, Doing something inportant that day, Like they were unable to sleep, so they're tired and kinda in a daze the whole day.

My Interpretation

Not sure about all these lyrics... especially "I'm awake, and although" and "fortunes to the noon."

Really cool song though.

I love this song too. Here are some lyrics that make a bit more sense:

You wake me up to the sound of my feet upon the ground Get me up, get me through, give myself a talking to I'm awake and although that it's not my place to say Brush the hair from my ears and slowly walk away...

Mmm, waking up to the sound of my feet above the ground Gets me out, follows through with my fortunes to anew I'm awake and I know that it's no one's place to say, Toss the hair from my ears and slowly walk away...
