Guess I'll first comment, this is a song that Eddie apparently sang live some years back, and will see it's life for the first time as a studio track on the soundtrack to a Jack Johnson surfing documentary of some sort. Awesome!

well you said it was years ago Eddie played it live...cause it could be about his break up with his ex but that was recently...or it could be departing with a significant other through death either way its about him not seeing someone ever again
