I love this song, although I'm not quite sure what it means. A friend I once had siad I should listen to it, and it reminds me of him everytime. He wanted to be more than friends, and I didn't, so I'm not talking to him anymore... maybe about the war in Iraq? I saw them open for The Black Eyed Peas and he said this song is for "our soldiers"...they used mainly electric guitars and no synthesizers (don't know how to spell it) and it sounded better than the album version...
it could be... i am pretty sure its about death... just like people around you surviving and you having to live your life remembering this... "youll never be the same again"...
in the music video he gets in a crash with his friends and they all die...he lives and has to live with it
in the case of iraq/ our soldiers... i am pretty sure they are making a refrance to the fact that there are soldiers who see their friends killed and continue to live their lives and what they have to go through
